Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead mobile product initiatives in Galway. You will own and prioritise the mobile backlog, translate business needs into clear requirements and collaborate with Product Management, UX, Engineering and stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

You will work closely with mobile engineers, UX designers and product managers to ensure requirements are well-defined, prioritized and delivered across iOS and Android

Qualifications

• Commercial experience as a Product Owner in a software product environment.
• Experience delivering mobile application projects or mobile product features.
• Strong backlog management, prioritisation and sprint-planning experience.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria and clearly defined product requirements.
• Good understanding of mobile customer journeys and user experience.
• Experience working closely with mobile engineers, UX designers and Product Managers.
• Ability to manage dependencies between mobile applications, APIs and backend services.
• Strong stakeholder-management, organisation and communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience delivering customer-facing iOS and Android applications.
• Experience within a SaaS or subscription-based product environment.
• Familiarity with mobile analytics, customer feedback and product-performance metrics.
• Understanding of mobile release processes and app-store requirements.
• Experience working across multiple products or delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own, manage and prioritise the product backlog for mobile product initiatives.
• Translate product strategy, customer needs and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement and support sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Work closely with mobile engineers, UX designers and technical stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Define requirements for new mobile features, enhancements and integrations.
• Ensure stories are sufficiently detailed and ready for development.
• Balance customer value, commercial priorities, technical dependencies and delivery effort when setting priorities.
• Support mobile product discovery, journey mapping and feature validation.
• Coordinate dependencies across mobile, web, API and backend teams.
• Review completed work against agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Gather feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to guide product improvements.
• Monitor mobile product performance, adoption and customer experience.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, dependencies and changes to stakeholders.
• Support product releases and ongoing improvements across iOS and Android applications.
