Job summary

Circle Voluntary Housing Association is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Operative to carry out essential repairs within homes and across estates. You will work with the Facilities and Tenancy Services teams to ensure communal areas and properties are safe and well maintained.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate with passes in Maths and English.
• Construction-related qualification or extensive relevant experience.
• Current Safe Pass certification.
• Skills in carrying out minor repairs and keeping records.
• Full, clean Irish driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry, plastering, painting, minor plumbing, and minor groundworks.
• Respond to repair requests within organisational repairing timescales.
• Complete general void works to support timely re-letting of properties.
• Ensure all work is completed safely with minimum disruption to tenants.
• Work alongside private contractors to ensure satisfactory completion of larger works.
• Maintain grassed areas, prune hedges, treat weeds, and manage planting.
• Clear paths and steps of moss or lichen to prevent slip risks.
• Remove waste and graffiti; ensure gullies and traps are clear of blockages.
• Act as a proficient user of fire alarm systems in apartment blocks, including resetting them.
• Assist with loading skips and managing bulky waste or abandoned vehicles.
• Pre-inspect works and post-inspecting private contractor results.
• Advise tenants on managing heating and condensation issues.
• Act as a key holder for community rooms and manage skip deliveries.
• Support Tenancy Services Officers in delivering community events.

Key Responsibilities

Reactive Void Repairs

• Licence: Full, clean, and unrestricted Irish driving licence.
