Job summary

Galway Simon Community is seeking a Coffee Van Assistant to deliver friendly customer service while preparing and serving hot and cold beverages from a mobile coffee van. The role involves handling cash, keeping the van clean, and ensuring food safety standards.

This developmental opportunity requires no previous experience; accredited training will be provided. Working on a mobile van, you may start early and work occasional weekends, with time off in lieu where applicable.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; accredited training will be provided.
• Eligibility for CE may apply; verification by the Department may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and take orders.
• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages and light snacks.
• Operate till, process cash/card payments, and balance takings as required.
• Assist with stock control, restocking cups, condiments and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic van and seating area; adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist in setting up and closing the coffee van and report faults.
• Follow health and safety policies and manual handling guidelines.
