Job summary

Aramark Ireland is seeking a friendly Barista to join our Galway café team. You will prepare espresso-based drinks, ensure high quality service, and maintain a clean workstation in a fast-paced environment.

With a focus on customer experience, you will work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required, collaborating with colleagues to deliver outstanding beverage offerings and smooth café operations across busy periods.

Qualifications

• Proven barista experience or hospitality background
• Proficient with espresso machines and coffee prep equipment
• Strong customer service and cash handling skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced cafe environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, coffees, and other drinks to high standards
• Operate and maintain cafe equipment, keep machines clean and functional
• Steam and texture milk to produce consistent microfoam for lattes and cappuccinos
• Provide friendly, accurate service and take customer orders
• Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in line with food safety rules
• Handle payments and cash transactions through the POS system
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth cafe operations during busy periods
• Stock and rotate coffee beans, milk, syrups and other ingredients
• Engage with customers, answer questions about our coffee offerings, and make recommendations
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues in delivering excellent service
