Job summary

Kinara Group in Ireland seeks a dynamic Technical Sales Specialist to drive growth in microscopy, imaging and laboratory solutions across academic, clinical, biotech, and research sectors.

You will build strong relationships with researchers, clinicians, and procurement teams, deliver compelling demonstrations, manage the CRM-driven pipeline, and collaborate with Sales, Service and Marketing to expand markets across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 2+ years' experience in technical sales, laboratory science, or application support.
• Knowledge of laboratory environments, microscopy, imaging, and scientific workflows.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and IT skills.
• Experience working with scientific and technical stakeholders.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Experience with microscopy, digital pathology, cell imaging, laboratory automation, or clinical workflows is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales of microscopy, imaging, and specialist laboratory solutions.
• Identify and pursue new business across academic, clinical, biotech, and research organisations.
• Build relationships with researchers, clinicians, laboratory managers, professors, and procurement teams.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Manage the sales pipeline, forecasts, and opportunities through CRM.
• Deliver revenue and growth targets within the assigned territory.
• Provide technical and application support for microscopy, imaging, and laboratory workflows.
• Support product demonstrations, evaluations, system configuration, and purchasing decisions.
• Provide customer training and technical guidance.
• Work with supplier application specialists on complex projects.
• Keep up to date with developments in life sciences, clinical diagnostics, biomedical research, and microscopy.
• Represent the business at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and scientific meetings.
• Support marketing campaigns, webinars, seminars, and product launches.
• Develop new markets and customer opportunities across Ireland.
• Work closely with Sales, Service, Applications, and Marketing teams to deliver a strong customer experience.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to territory and strategic planning.
