Job summary

CLS - Complete Laboratory Solutions in Ireland is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our microbiology lab. The role requires a strong technical background, proven leadership, and the ability to drive performance and quality in a GMP environment.

You will oversee staffing, resource planning, and adherence to GMP and ISO 17025, while developing new testing areas and improving workflows.

Qualifications

• Third-level degree in Microbiology or related science.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing a team.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 17025, and microbiological testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the microbiology lab.
• Manage resources, scheduling, and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 17025, and safety standards.
• Oversee quality systems and investigations.
• Develop new testing areas and improve workflows.
• Review data, deviations, investigations, and reports.
• Prepare and validate test reports and SOPs.
• Train and develop analysts; manage performance.
• Prepare for internal and external audits.
• Monthly KPI reporting and trend analysis.
• Maintain equipment calibration and method validation.
• Foster team engagement and efficiency.
