Metrology Engineer – Onsite, Biopharma Impact

Job summary

PE Global is recruiting a Metrology Engineer for a biopharmaceutical client in County Sligo. This is a 12-month, fully onsite contract duties spanning measurement systems, calibration, and process improvements.

You will support moulded components, new product introductions, and tooling development, delivering validated metrology data, Gauge R&R, and compliant documentation across projects.

Qualifications

• Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in a regulated industry.
• Experience with measurement systems and calibration processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for moulded component batch release as required.
• Create and review metrology reports in support of batch release and engineering studies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot measurement systems for optimal performance.
• Develop and qualify measurement systems for new product introductions.
• Generate validation documentation for IQ/OQ of new metrology equipment.
• Develop documentation for metrology equipment, fixtures and Gauge R&R.
• Coordinate Gauge R&R activities including statistical analysis and reporting.
• Interface with suppliers and plant customers, and manage budgets.
• Lead continuous improvement projects related to metrology and cost control.
