Job summary

Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Metrology Engineer on behalf of our multinational biopharmaceutical client based in Sligo on an initial 12-month contract with huge potential to extend.

The metrology service supports moulded component batch release, measurement system development/qualification and calibrations, with emphasis on compliance and continual improvement across all work streams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• +2 years’ experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for moulded component batch release as required.
• Create and review Metrology reports in support of batch release and engineering study development.
• Maintain and troubleshoot measurement systems to ensure optimum performance.
• Develop and qualify measurement systems for new product introductions per project timelines.
• Coordinate Gauge R&R activities with statistical analysis and report generation.
