Job summary

GMC Utilities Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Metering Team, supporting utility metering projects across Leinster. The role blends office and site work, coordinating with clients, utility providers and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time and within quality standards.

You will review drawings, manage technical aspects, assist with planning and procurement, and contribute to continuous improvement within the Metering Team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, Energy, Utilities or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in project engineering, utilities, construction or infrastructure environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within construction and utility environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the engineering and technical aspects of metering projects across Leinster.
• Support projects from initial planning and design through to installation, commissioning and completion.
• Coordinate with clients, utility companies, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical documentation and project requirements.
• Carry out site surveys, inspections and technical assessments as required.
• Assist with the planning and scheduling of site works and installation activities.
