Job summary

Cognizant Company in Cork seeks a MES Lead Support Engineer to implement System/MES recipe changes and manage day-to-day issues in Electronic Batch Records, Weigh and Dispense, and Equipment Management on the Emerson Syncade MES.

The role leads a collaborative MES team at a large biotech manufacturing facility, requiring strong communication, SME status on MES functions, and experience in regulated pharma environments.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting IT/MES applications.
• Experience in a GMP environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Run review meetings to create actions based on metric & trending data from incidents.
• Lead investigations and troubleshooting to determine solutions or improvements.
• Onboard new team members and provide training and development.
• Schedule out of hours support and assist in resource planning.
• Maintain KPI reporting and incident queue in Service Now.
• Initiate Change Control activities per Quality Standards.
