Job summary

SimoTech Cork, Ireland, is seeking an MES Engineer to support an Instrument Connectivity project for a leading pharma organisation. You will design, configure and test interfaces between the Syncade MES and laboratory instruments to enable real-time data exchange, supporting regulatory compliance in large molecule manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience with Syncade MES in life sciences.
• GMP environment knowledge and experience.
• Hands-on integration of MES with laboratory instruments or L2 systems (DCS/SCADA/PLCs).
• Experience with MQTT/HiveMQ for real-time data integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement interfaces between Syncade MES and laboratory instruments.
• Perform hands-on configuration and testing of instrument interfaces, including data mapping and protocol validation.
• Develop and update MES recipes to support instrument integration and process changes.
• Manage change control and validate MES/instrument interfaces (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Troubleshoot MES and instrument interface issues and optimise performance for large molecule production.
