Job summary

HRM Search Partners collaborates with a leading pharmaceutical organisation to recruit an MES Engineer for a 12-month rolling contract in Ireland. The role focuses on authoring, testing, and validating MES recipes and ensuring integration across core enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in MES engineering within biotech/pharma, strong CSV and SAP integration experience, and familiarity with Syncade or PAS-X. A Level 8 degree in engineering or life sciences is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on MES engineering experience in biotech/pharma.
• Proven understanding of computer systems validation (CSV) and interfacing MES with SAP and lab systems.
• Desirable: experience with Syncade or PAS-X, exposure to Visual Basic and MS SQL Server.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with attention to detail.
• Level 8 degree (BSc/BEng) in Engineering, CS, IS, or Life Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Author, configure, and validate MES recipes and master batch records.
• Administer and deliver digital capabilities across interfaces connecting MES with SAP and lab systems.
• Lead module execution across equipment, material, inventory, and reporting parameters.
• Prepare and execute validation deliverables, design specs, test scripts, and system docs.

Supporting three major projects, this position focuses on authoring, testing, and validating MES recipes while ensuring seamless integration across core enterprise systems. We are seeking a well-rounded engineer with exceptional attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, and a close interpersonal approach to integrate seamlessly into a dynamic site team.

Key Responsibilities

• Recipe Authoring & Validation: Author, configure, and validate MES recipes and master batch records to maintain lean manufacturing workflows and cGMP compliance standards.
• System Integration: Administer and deliver digital capabilities across key interfaces connecting MES with SAP, control systems, and lab systems.
• System Build & Operations: Lead module execution across equipment management, material management, inventory tracking, and reporting parameters.
• Lifecycle Documentation: Author and execute validation deliverables, design specifications, test scripts, and system documentation in accordance with corporate standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional project, automation, and site operations teams to ensure aligned delivery and execution.

Required Competencies & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on MES Engineering experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector.
• Technical Integration: Proven understanding of system design, computer systems validation (CSV), and interfacing MES with SAP, control systems, and lab systems.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with Syncade (or equivalent platforms such as PAS-X). Exposure to Visual Basic and MS SQL Server is also advantageous.
• Personal Attributes: Well-rounded technical capability, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Education: Level 8 degree (BSc/BEng) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Life Sciences.
