Job summary

GEDON™ is recruiting for a senior commercial leader to steer risk, pricing and contract strategy across a portfolio of technically complex MEP projects in Ireland and Europe. You will lead a commercial team, shape bid strategy, review terms and negotiate with clients and main contractors, while protecting margin and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial leadership experience within the MEP or building services sector at Commercial Manager/Head of Commercial/Commercial Director level.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proven track record on large, technically complex projects; data centre, pharma or life sciences experience is highly beneficial.
• Thorough knowledge of contract forms used across Ireland and Europe, including NEC, FIDIC and bespoke main contractor terms.
• Demonstrable ability to lead, develop and motivate commercial teams.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and reporting skills at board level.
• MRICS, MSCSI or an equivalent professional qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior commercial leadership across a portfolio of technically complex MEP projects within mission-critical sectors.
• Lead commercial strategy at bid stage, including pricing, risk assessment, contract review and negotiation of terms.
• Oversee cost management, forecasting, cash flow and margin protection across live projects.
• Manage and develop the commercial team, setting standards, processes and reporting across the business.
• Lead change management, claims and final account negotiations with clients and main contractors.
• Manage supply chain and subcontract procurement strategy to drive value and commercial certainty.
• Report commercial performance to the senior leadership team and wider group, contributing to business planning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants and partners across Ireland and Europe.
