Job summary

Glanua is seeking a MEICA Project Engineer to join our head office in Loughrea Co Galway. You will work in a team to deliver multiple projects, ensuring HSQE standards on-site and engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to drive delivery.

Candidates will have at least a Level 7 Honours Degree in relevant engineering, 2 years’ experience, strong MS Office, CAD, GPS skills, and a full driving license. We offer a Monday–Friday week, 22 days leave, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably water/wastewater.
• Level 7 Honours Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Ability to work in a team and engage with suppliers during procurement.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects as part of a team, maintaining a one-team ethos.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards on-site.
• Familiar with HSQE systems and statutory requirements.
• Manage day-to-day site operations in absence of the project manager.
• Review and submit Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Ensure FAT, SAT, ITRs, and testing align with quality plans.
• Prepare handover files including O&M Manuals and Safety Files.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors in procurement and delivery.
• Monitor progress and adjust workflow to meet completion dates.
• Continually develop through CPD and mentoring juniors.
