Job summary

UPMC Ireland is seeking a detail-oriented Access to Care Medical Records team member to safely handle, prepare, file, and transport patients’ medical records. You will work closely with hospital departments to ensure a safe, punctual, and excellent patient experience throughout UPMC Whitfield Hospital.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, English fluency, and a flexible, cross-departmental approach. Eligible to live and work in the EU, with a 39-hour week and permanent contract at UPMC

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Excellent planning, co-ordination, monitoring, and evaluation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle and prepare patient medical records for admission and transport.
• Ensure safe, punctual handling of charts and documentation to support patient experience.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and IPSG 1 standards.
• Distribute charts throughout the hospital and manage off-site records as needed.
• Manage Subject Access Requests in line with Data Protection guidelines.
