Job summary

Dunreidy Engineering Ltd. is seeking an on-site supervisor to oversee mechanical works at the Dublin plant. You will follow contract manager or client instructions, plan daily activities, and ensure timely ordering of materials to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, toolbox talks, method statement preparation and sign-off, and maintaining documentation and drawings. Prior supervisory experience in an industrial/plant setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience out of time served.
• National craft certificate is required.
• IOSH - Managing safely in Construction is preferred but not essential.

• Keep documentation up to date and monitor progress.
• Maintain drawing register on site and manage manpower.

Job description

Supervise Dunreidy's mechanical work at the Dublin plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the latest instructions from the contract manager or client are carried out.
• Plan work activities on a daily basis and to prioritise certain tasks.
• Order material on time to complete the project.
• Prepare method statements as required.
• Ensure that method statements are read, understood, signed and complied with.
• Accident, incident and complaints reporting.
• Sub-contractor compliance.
• Site staff/sub-contractors and visitor induction.
• Conducting safety inspections and ensuring site safety.
• Deliver toolbox talks as required.
• Keep account of variations on the project.
• Inspect quality of work and prepare snag lists as required.
• Ensure the contract manager is informed of all issues might occur.
• Keep all documentation up to date.
• Have a good presence on site and monitor progress.
• Ability to manage manpower.
• Maintain drawing register on site

Qualifications

At least 5 years experience out of time served

Required Skills

• National craft certificate
• Qualification in IOSH - Managing safely in Construction (preferred but not essential)
• Safe Pass
• Abrasive Wheel (Mechanical)

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience supervising fitters and welders.
• Experience working in an industrial plant environment.
