Job summary

Rockwell is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead a critical engineering project in the Cork region. This permanent, full‑time role involves coordinating pipe installations, isometrics, and fabrication activities for stainless steel piping within a pharmaceutical setting.

The candidate will manage a on‑site team, ensure safety and quality, read drawings, and oversee both indoor and outdoor work with a hands‑on approach to tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervision role in Pharma/Life Science with focus on Safety and Quality.
• 10+ years experience on mechanical/plumbing install projects.
• A Level 6 QQI Certificate in Mechanical Craft Practice or equivalent trade qualification in plumbing/pipefitting.
• Proven high level of technical knowledge with practical application.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team on site and coordinate mechanical activities.
• Oversee pipe installation, fabrication/install, and isometrics for stainless steel piping.
• Supervise assembly, laying, installing and maintaining pipes in pharma environments.
• Work both inside and outside, using power tools and small tools.
• Read and interpret drawings and ensure safety practices are followed.

Are you a Mechanical Supervisor who is looking to be a part of delivering key projects, with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?

Rockwell are seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee an exciting mechanical engineering project in the Cork region, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This role requires the successful candidate to be comfortable in leading a team,
• Coordinate pipe install and generate fabrication/install, isometrics, as well as the ability to work with stainless steel pipework, within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or processing environment.
• Oversight of the assembly, laying, installing and maintaining of pipes.
• The role requires both inside and outside work.
• Appropriate use of tools, including power tools, and equipment.
• Maintaining and checking of small tools and equipment.
• Reading and interpreting drawings.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and risks associated with tasks

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervision role working in a Pharma / Life Science environment with a strong emphasis on Safety and Quality.
• 10+ years experience working on mechanical / plumbing install projects.
• A minimum of a Level 6 QQI Certificate in Mechanical Craft Practice or an equivalent trade qualification in plumbing / pipefitting.
