Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is a leading data centre delivery partner headquartered in Dublin, delivering full turnkey solutions across Europe. We seek an experienced Electrical Construction Manager for a large-scale Dublin D15 data centre project to oversee coordination across design, construction, and commissioning teams.

The role focuses on driving alignment between trades, managing interfaces, and ensuring milestones are met safely and to the highest quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical/building services engineering.
• 7+ years of electrical construction experience with site management focus.
• Proven ability to manage electrical systems on large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all Electrical construction activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead day-to-day electrical site operations in coordination with the wider project team.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained as per specifications.
• Coordinate project schedules with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and design teams.
• Manage electrical subcontractor performance, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and coordination meetings.
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to date.
• Attend and lead Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
• Liaise with the design team to ensure construction information and submittals are issued on time.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for quality and buildability of electrical systems.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and drive a strong safety culture on site.
• Support commercial management by tracking variations and attending weekly meetings.
• Issue progress reports to senior management and the project team.
• Manage electrical snagging activities with timely close-out.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
• Minimum 7+ years' experience within electrical construction, with a focus on site management
• Proven experience managing electrical systems on large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, coordination, and programme deliver
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skill
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and commissioning processes
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
