Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead a large-scale data centre project in Dublin. You will coordinate design, construction, commissioning and client teams to ensure milestones are met safely and to the highest standards.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical construction, strong leadership, and hands-on site operations, QA/QC, and subcontractor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 7+ years' experience in electrical construction with a focus on site management.
• Experience managing electrical systems on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, coordination, and programme delivery.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery.
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical construction activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead day-to-day electrical site operations in coordination with the wider project team.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained to project specifications.
• Coordinate project schedules with Planners, PMs, subcontractors, consultants, and design teams.
• Manage electrical subcontractor performance, progress, manpower levels, and meetings.
• Ensure subcontractor documentation, including safety docs, is maintained and up to date.
• Attend and lead Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
• Liaise with the design team to ensure construction information and submittals are issued on time.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for quality and buildability.
• Drive health & safety culture on site.
• Support commercial management by tracking variations and costs.
• Issue progress reports to senior management and project team.
• Manage electrical snagging and close-out activities.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join our team on a large-scale data centre project in Dublin D15. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and integration of all project disciplines, ensuring seamless communication between design, construction, commissioning, and client teams. This role will focus on driving project alignment, managing interfaces between trades, and ensuring key milestones are achieved safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage electrical subcontractor performance, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and coordination meetings
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to datE
• Attend and lead Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover Meetings
• Liaise with the design team to ensure construction information and technical submittals are issued in line with programme requirements
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability of electrical systems
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and drive a strong safety culture on site
• Support commercial management by tracking variations, managing costs, and attending weekly commercial meetings
• Issue progress reports to senior management and the project team
• Manage electrical snagging activities and ensure effective and timely close-out
• Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
• Minimum 7+ years' experience within electrical construction, with a focus on site management
• Proven experience managing electrical systems on large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, coordination, and programme deliver
