Job summary

Suir Engineering seeks a Mechanical QA/QC Line Walker for a Semi-Conductor project in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The role centers on on-site inspections, developing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans, and ensuring compliance with approved methods and drawings.

You will prepare daily QA/QC reports, develop quality procedures, and work with Suir and subcontractor teams. A relevant mechanical qualification and 5 years post-qualification experience are required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade qualification is required.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
• QA/QC qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• IT skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
• Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing to clients and other stakeholders.
• Ability to delegate and manage team members efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical inspections related to installations, testing, commissioning etc.
• Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Plans and quality procedures.
• Conduct inspections of all ongoing activities for mechanical installations.
• Prepare daily QA/QC report regarding inspections, material, non-conformances etc.
• Check drawings and documents for approvals and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure works carried out per approved method statements and drawings.
• Read LSP and P&ID sheets.
• Quality walking of service installs and identifying issues.
