Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking Mechanical Chargehands for a Semi-Conductor project based in Leixlip, Co Kildare. You will lead on-site, manage safety, and ensure all works align with project plans and specifications, while supporting supervision in program development.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years’ contracting experience, hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate, and demonstrate strong leadership and safety performance on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a contracting environment.
• Must hold a valid Mechanical Trade Certificate.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Safety and quality focus with a track record of high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site and uphold safety and environmental requirements.
• Ensure adherence to standard specifications and project plan.
• Attend Toolbox Talks and Weekly Progress Meetings.
• Assist supervision in developing the Project Program.
• Monitor and report productivity daily.
• Assign work to Charge-Hands per project plan.
• Record and report all extra work through approved channels.
• Perform other duties as required to meet project needs.
