Job summary

Auxo Talent client in Sligo, Ireland seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical projects in a site-based role. You will work with the Projects Department to drive from concept to manufacturing, commissioning and sign-off.

Regular travel across Ireland and occasionally the UK and Europe, with exposure to automation, robotics, and bespoke machinery. Solidworks experience and familiarity with electrical/pneumatic controls are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex mechanical projects in manufacturing.
• Confident using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools and related electrical/pneumatic concepts.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland and occasionally to the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of project life cycles from concept and customer approval through to manufacturing, commissioning and sign-off.
• Collaborate with Sales and customers to define requirements, timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and QA to ensure on-time, compliant delivery.

Mechanical Project Engineer

Site-based in Sligo County, Ireland

A leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join their in-house Projects Department.

Their innovative processing and packaging line equipment is used across a wide variety of industries including FMCG, food & beverage.

The Project Engineer will work closely with the Sales Team and customers to support the delivery of project life cycles from initial concept and customer approval through to manufacturing, commissioning and sign off.

This is an exciting time to be joining them as they are continuing to expand their core product ranges, integrating technological developments in automation & robotics, and the development of bespoke solutions to meet specific customer needs means your work will be interesting and varied.

Applications are invited from Project Engineers, as well as Mechanical Engineers and Designers who have previously supported the delivery of complex projects.

Previous experience of working for a manufacturer of technical products or machinery used within regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, beverage, or FMCG industries would be beneficial but not essential.

You should be a confident user of Solidworks (or similar CAD package) and ideally have experience of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
