Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for a role in Sligo. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification and over 6 years of experience in the field.

This position includes responsibilities such as managing projects, producing system drawings, and ensuring quality assurance. The salary is competitive, ranging from €70,000 to €80,000, with additional benefits including pension contributions and company healthcare.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering qualification is essential.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer is required.
• Experience in Process Mechanical, Mechanical building services, and HVAC is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of projects from tender to client handover.
• Assist in the production of coordinated system drawings through CAD and/or BIM.
• Identify Mechanical equipment requirements.

One of Irelands leading contractors for electrical and mechanical installation services is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for a role in Sligo. The client is a leading Engineering contractor who works across a diverse portfolio including, Pharmaceutical, Data Center, Industrial and Renewables.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Assist in the management of projects from tender to client handover.
• Assist in the production of coordinated system drawings, plans through CAD and/or BIM.
• Identify Mechanical equipment requirements.
• Select plant and equipment to meet specifications.
• Prepare detailed technical submittals for approval.
• Vendor / Contractor management on site.
• Liaise and work with QA/QC to ensure that all mechanical construction works are carried out in accordance with specifications.
• Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
• Interface with clients, vendors, client project management and other disciplines ensuring the highest level of service is provided.
• Engage with commissioning teams to ensure handover is planned from construction phase and managed smoothly.
