Job summary

LSC have a contract opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a Cork based biopharmaceutical company. The site manufactures low volume bulk API for Phase III clinical trials, initial product launch and long-term market support.

You will lead design, construction and commissioning activities, supervise vendor engineers, and drive capital projects from initiation through qualification, with a focus on GMP compliance and delivery on time and budget.

Qualifications

• Relevant level 8 engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in full project lifecycle; PMP qualification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a GMP environment; direct supervision of vendor engineers during capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in Design, Construction and C&Q activities on site.
• Lead projects for facility modifications and capital equipment procurement.
• Assist the Core Projects Manager in the planning and tracking of activities.
• Provide technical process support to the project team throughout the project life cycle.
• Generate and execute Commissioning & Qualification activities as required.
• Participation in HAZOP and design reviews.

LSC have a great contract opportunity for an Mechanical Project Engineer to join a Cork based Biopharmaceutical company. The site manufactures low volume bulk API for Phase III clinical trials, initial product launch and long-term market support. The team on site grow, purify, formulate, and bulk fill mammalian cell culture derived APIs for medicines intended for human use.

ABOUT THE PROJECT - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and Participate in Design, Construction and C&Q activities on site.
• Lead projects for facility modifications and capital equipment procurement.

• Provide technical process support to the project team throughout the project life cycle.
• Generate and execute Commissioning & Qualification activities if there is a requirement
• Participation in HAZOP and design reviews

ABOUT YOU - ARE YOUR SKILLS A MATCH?

• Relevant level 8 engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in the full project lifecycle or a PMP qualification is strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience working in a GMP Environment.
• Direct supervision experience of vendor engineers and contractors during engineering works on single or multiple capital projects.
• Experience in providing technical process support to the project team and generating change controls on Trackwise.
