Job summary

Top Tier Resourcing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to take ownership of mechanical building services installations across projects in Dublin and Leinster. You will work closely with the Managing Director, coordinating site activities, monitoring progress and ensuring on-time handover.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering or building services and 7+ years of HVAC experience, with strong drawing and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree-required in mechanical engineering or building services disciplines.
• 7+ years' experience in mechanical building services or HVAC.
• Experience coordinating installations and monitoring site progress.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specs and installation processes.
• Confident communicating with contractors, clients and stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage workload independently.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Dublin and Leinster.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical building services installations across multiple projects from start to handover.
• Site visits across Dublin and Leinster to monitor progress, quality and schedule milestones.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors and clients to resolve technical queries.
• Monitor outstanding works and coordinate solutions to site issues.
• Support procurement, materials coordination and project documentation.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.

Mechanical Project Engineer - Building Services

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years' experience looking to take ownership of projects while enjoying excellent earning potential, flexibility and career development?

We're recruiting a Mechanical Project Engineer to join an established building services company delivering mechanical installations across Dublin and Leinster.

With a base salary of €65,000-€85,000, a company Jeep for full personal use, two days working from home and a pension scheme from day one, this is an opportunity to take responsibility for project delivery while working directly with the Managing Director in a close-knit team.

The Role

You'll coordinate mechanical building services installations across multiple projects, monitoring progress, quality and programme through to completion and handover.

Working closely with the Managing Director, contractors and other project stakeholders, you'll combine your technical engineering knowledge with hands-on site involvement and project coordination.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating mechanical installations from commencement through to completion and handover.
• Visiting sites across Dublin and Leinster to monitor progress, quality and programme milestones.
• Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Liaising with contractors, subcontractors and clients to resolve technical queries.
• Monitoring outstanding works and coordinating solutions to site issues.
• Supporting procurement, materials coordination and project documentation.
• Assisting with testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.

About You

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years' relevant mechanical building services or HVAC experience.
• Experience coordinating installations and monitoring construction site progress.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications and installation processes.
• Confident communicating with contractors, clients and project stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive and capable of managing your workload independently.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Dublin and Leinster.

Experience across commercial fit-outs, retail, healthcare, education or shell-and-core projects would be advantageous.
