Britvic Ireland, part of the Carlsberg Group, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a 24/7 maintenance team in the Limerick area. You will support engineering site teams to deliver safety, productivity, quality, cost and service objectives with high morale and engagement.

The role focuses on achieving OEE targets, carrying out preventive maintenance, and applying OE tools. You'll work with cross‑functional teams and be proactive in continuous improvement, with hands-on fault

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Technician with 5 years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in a target-driven manufacturing environment with KPIs.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.
• Cross-skilling in electrical is a plus.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• PLC/SCADA experience beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Work with Engineering and Operational teams to deliver agreed OEE targets ensuring OE tools and governance are applied.
• Support line performance improvement through analysis of run rates, change-overs and SKU sequences.
• Be proactive in implementing OEE/continuous improvement with regard to line operating practices and equipment.
• Carry out the plant preventative maintenance plan as scheduled and update completion on SAP CMMS .
• Attend reactive breakdowns, record corrective actions and support/lead on follow up actions and reviews.
• Detailed Shift Handover Documentation

Job Overview

• As part of a maintenance team providing shift cover over a 24/7 hour cycle, ensuring that all work is carried out to the Company’s standards.
• To support the engineering site teams to deliver optimum use of resources, that ensure the site delivers safety, productivity, quality, cost, and service objectives in an environment of high morale and engagement.
• To support the engineering team to deliver site OEE targets/Improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineering and Operational teams to deliver agreed OEE targets ensuring that all relevant OE tools, techniques and governance are applied.
• Support line performance improvement through the analysis of run rates, change-overs and SKU sequences.
• Be proactive in implementing OEE/continuous improvement with regard to line operating practices and equipment.
• Carry out the plant preventative maintenance plan as scheduled and update completion on SAP CMMS .
• Attend reactive breakdowns, record corrective actions and support/lead on follow up actions and reviews.

Requirements

• Practical Engineering / Technical / Facilities Maintenance experience with a proven track record of maintenance service delivery an advantage.
• Experience of working within a strategic, target driven manufacturing environment which is measured by robust Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Working knowledge and application experience of delivering specific Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
• Mechanical experience preferred but candidates that are cross skilled with electrical and a can-do attitude will be considered.
• Strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
• PLC & Scada experience beneficial.

Education/Qualifications

• Minimum qualification as time served as Mechanical tech with 5 years post Apprenticeship experience
