Brightwater Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a growing beverage producer in County Kildare. The role focuses on maintaining equipment and performing electrical/mechanical troubleshooting in line with GMP and safety standards.

You will minimise downtime through root-cause analysis, support the preventative maintenance program, and perform mechanical repairs on PLC‑controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, with CMMS logging.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Qualification in fitting or mechatronics.
• Knowledge of PLCs/SCADA and related control systems.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot electrically and mechanically per GMP, HACCP and safety standards.
• Minimise equipment downtime via root cause analysis.
• Improve the site's preventative maintenance programme.
• Carry out mechanical repairs on PLC‑controlled plant and handling/packaging equipment.
• Log work in the CMMS and support ongoing maintenance tasks.

About the Company

Our client is a growing beverage company who are hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their Kidlare team. This company has steadily grown in recent years producing market leading products and would be a great opportunity for an experienced fitter to work in a highly regulated environment.

About the Position

• As Maintenance Technician, your job will be to maintain equipment and conduct electrical/mechanical troubleshooting in line with GMP, HACCP and safety standards.
• Minimise equipment downtime through efficient root cause analysis.
• Execute/suggest improvement to the site’s preventative maintenance programme.
• Mechanical repairs to PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment involving pneumatic/hydraulic control systems.
• Ensure work is logged appropriately on the company CMMS.
• Any other responsibilities as required.

Experience/Requirements

• For this Mechanical Maintenance Technician job you will have 5+ years’ experience in a similar job within a manufacturing setting.
• You will also have a relevant qualification in fitting/mechatronics and knowledge of PLCs/SCADA/etc.
