Job summary

John Sisk & Son invites applications for a Mechanical Lead to join our Life Science team in Limerick. You will lead delivery of mechanical systems including HVAC, utilities and process piping on large-scale pharmaceutical projects.

Reporting to the MEP Lead and working with Project Director, you will provide technical and managerial leadership to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring design, installation, testing and commissioning meet project specs, programme and budget.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Experience leading mechanical delivery on Tier 1 or equivalent projects.
Valid Safe Pass and CSCS or equivalent health and safety training.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical function and oversee delivery of all systems including HVAC, utilities, process piping and specialist systems.
Ensure delivery aligns with programme, cost, safety and quality requirements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
Develop and implement strategies for execution planning, resource allocation and performance management.
Review and approve design documents, technical submittals and material selections.
Oversee FATs, MEP Construction, SATs, commissioning and system turnover for mechanical scope.
Support validation and handover activities with accurate documentation and traceability.
Drive health, safety and environmental compliance across all mechanical activities.
