Job summary

Keltec Machine Sales (Kilmallock) Limited, a well-established engineering company based in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team.

This hands-on role covers design and manufacturing, with involvement from concept through to finished build. You will work with management, workshop teams, fabricators, and customers to design, develop, and improve agricultural machinery attachments and bespoke engineering projects; strong CAD skills and practical problem-solving

Qualifications

• Essential: qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical design, fabrication, or agricultural machinery.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to produce clear manufacturing drawings.
• Good understanding of steel fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and production information.
• Support manufacture from design to completion and ensure manufacturability.
• Collaborate with workshop teams, suppliers, and customers as required.
• Assist with product testing and new development projects.
• Improve production efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
