Job summary

ORS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding team in the Munster/Limerick region. You will create detailed mechanical systems with calculations, schedules and specifications, and produce drawings in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).

Key activities include coordinating designs with electrical engineers and other disciplines, supporting site inspections, surveys, and response to contractor queries.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Building Services Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with successful projects.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in technical submittals, commissioning and handover procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical systems with calculations, schedules, specifications and technical documentation.
• Producing drawings and layouts in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
• Coordinating designs with electrical engineers and other disciplines.
• Assisting with site inspections, surveys, and responding to contractor queries during construction.
• Supporting project delivery tasks such as document control, tender packs and design reviews
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with ISO standards, ensuring up to date records for electrical designs.
