Job summary

ORS is a leading building consultancy in Ireland seeking a Building Services/Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver mechanical building services, primarily HVAC, across projects from concept to construction. Based in the Munster/Limerick region, you will work closely with senior engineers, architects, contractors and clients to create practical, sustainable solutions.

You will develop drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, produce calculations, and coordinate with disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical building services in a consultancy or similar environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including heat pumps.
• Experience supporting commissioning, submittals, and handover.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, water, drainage, and renewables.
• Produce calculations, schedules, specs, reports, and technical documentation.
• Create drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
• Coordinate with electrical, architectural, structural teams.
• Attend site surveys, design reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Support commissioning, testing, and project handover.
• Prepare tender documents and project records per ISO procedures.
• Incorporate sustainable engineering and renewables into designs.
