Job summary

Design Build Search are working closely with a rapidly expanding mechanical specialist who have an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The successful applicant will convert client-issued ductwork layouts into detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings, managing all project design deliverables from pre-order to production handover.

Requirements include an honours degree in mechanical engineering, 3+ years’ experience, advanced SolidWorks, proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination, and

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design or building services engineering.
• Advanced user of SolidWorks; proficient in Revit and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to address clashes before fabrication.
• Produce custom component and installation drawings (e.g. flashings, transitions, coving & Unistrut placement).
• Implement and maintain CAD automation (DriveWorks) to streamline repetitive design tasks.
• Develop Project Area Codes aligned with project schedules to detail production elements.
