Job summary

Occupli Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team in Cork, Ireland. You will design and develop complex, bespoke capital equipment for pharma and life sciences, from concept through to manufacture, assembly and testing, translating customer requirements into robust mechanical solutions.

Reporting to engineering leadership, you will produce 3D models and 2D drawings, apply DFM principles, and collaborate with production, fabrication and project teams to meet

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years in mechanical design.
• Experience with machinery or engineered systems is preferred.
• Strong CAD capability and knowledge of fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for specialist mechanical equipment.
• Translate technical specs and URS into detailed designs and manufacturing docs.
• Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to optimize cost and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with production, fabrication, automation, procurement and project teams.
• Support FAT/SAT activities and provide technical documentation for approvals.
