Job summary

Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Cork operations in Ireland. The role focuses on taking projects from concept through to manufacture while working with customers, production teams and stakeholders in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 3 years of CAD-based design experience using Solid Edge, SolidWorks or Inventor, plus experience in GA drawings, BOMs and design-for-manufacture principles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in mechanical design of machinery, equipment, or engineered systems.
• Strong 3D CAD experience with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Experience creating GA and fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of GMP/GDP and regulated environments.
• Experience with FAT/SAT activities.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into production-ready mechanical designs.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings and BOMs.
• Support design lifecycle from concept through FAT and delivery.
• Collaborate across engineering, fabrication, and project teams.
