Sonova, home to the Sennheiser brand, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Tullamore, Ireland, to help develop mechanical solutions for product launches and ongoing manufacturing. You will create 3D models, prototypes, and tooling to support new product introductions and production improvements.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, production engineering or NPI role.
• Strong CAD skills with 3D modeling experience.
• Experience designing jigs, fixtures, production aids or other mechanical solutions for manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and prototyping technologies, especially 3D printing.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication with internal stakeholders and external manufacturers/suppliers.

Mansioni

• Design and develop mechanical solutions, jigs, fixtures, production tools and equipment to support new product introductions and existing manufacturing processes.
• Use CAD to create detailed 3D models and drawings from concept through prototyping to production.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes using 3D printing and other suitable manufacturing technologies.
• Collaborate with Development, NPI, local Engineering and other functions to deliver production solutions, including integration of electrical components where needed.
• Create detailed component and machine specifications, drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate with external manufacturers and suppliers, supporting quotation, sourcing and delivery within project timelines.
• Troubleshoot production and process issues, identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
