Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking an Equipment Technical Submission Engineer based in Mayo to convert design documents into construction schedules suitable for procurement and client approval. You will own technical submittals for equipment and ductwork and collaborate with clients and suppliers to secure timely sign‑offs.

The role requires strong technical and analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work under deadlines across multiple projects, with experience in BIM

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC ductwork design or contracting.

Responsibilities

• Review project budget with Estimating Team.

Equipment Technical Submission Engineer - Mayo

A trusted client of ours has an opportunity for an Equipment Technical Submission Engineer based in Mayo. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manageryou will be responsible for developing design documents into construction schedules suitable for procurement and client approval. A leader in the manufacturing and installation of niche ducting projects there is a secure future ahead.

Key Responsibilities

• Review of project budget with Estimating Team.
• Review of project procurement plan with Procurement Team.
• Review of design documents and issue RFI's back to client on any outstanding information.
• Attend client coordination sessions.
• Develop Draft Equipment and ductwork Technical Submissions and submits to client and suppliers for review.
• Issue of Equipment and ductwork Technical Submissions to external vendors.
• Issue of final Equipment Technical Submissions for Client Approval.
• Obtain client approval of Equipment and ductwork Technical Submissions.
• Handover of approved Equipment and ductwork Technical Submissions to procurement team.
• Assist Site Team with any design issues on equipment during installation
• Track RFI status and maintain RFI logs.
• Maintain accurate document control and revision tracking.
• Owner of Technical Submittals and the tracking/monitoring of such.

Role Reporting

• Role reports to the Pre-Construction Manager.
• Role Interfaces with Estimating Team to assist with bid phases.
• Role Interface with Procurement Team to assist in purchasing.
• Role Interfaces with Engineering Team to assist with design phases.
• Role Interfaces with Installation Team to assist with site phase.

• Have experience in converting design documents/drawings/models into procurement quality schedules.

• Experience working with ductwork subcontractors or HVAC contractors.
• Exposure to BIM models and coordination.
• Experience in data centre, semiconductor and pharmaceutical projects preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC ductwork design or contracting.
