Job summary

Climeaction is recruiting a Measurement Verification (MV) Engineer to join the Energy Efficiency team, reporting to the Director of Energy Efficiency. The role is responsible for measuring and verifying the energy savings delivered by manufacturing clients across Ireland and converting those savings into energy credits under the SEAI Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EEOS).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in energy engineering with MV or energy savings verification.
• Knowledge of IPMVP or equivalent MV framework.
• Experience with SEAI EEOS or similar schemes.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills; Python or R an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver MV activities aligned with IPMVP options.
• Prepare MV plans and reports for EEOS authentication.
• Calculate ex-ante and ex-post energy savings and credits.
• Gather metering data and utility/process data for calculations.
• Review savings calculations and EEOS credit claims.
• Maintain knowledge of SEAI EEOS rules and update methodology.
• Support commercial team with savings estimates during proposals.
• Liaise with SEAI, obligated parties and auditors on MV queries.
• Contribute to ISO 9001 documentation.
