Job summary

Climeaction is seeking an experienced Senior Energy Engineer or Energy Manager based in Ireland who is ready for a move to sunny Florida. You will relocate to Jacksonville, FL with full sponsorship, taking ownership of energy management at a major medical device manufacturing facility.

You’ll act as the embedded Energy Manager for the site, leading CAaaS and driving energy performance, utility optimization and decarbonisation across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering.
• Approximately 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of industrial utilities and building services.
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water, boilers, steam, and related systems.
• Experience identifying and developing energy improvement opportunities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Independent, proactive, and able to lead in a large manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication with operators to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the site’s energy management programme.
• Develop understanding of energy usage and opportunities.
• Monitor and optimise major utilities (HVAC, chillers, boilers, etc.).
• Analyse utility data, establish baselines, track performance.
• Lead energy projects from opportunity to savings verification.
• Establish site energy KPIs and dashboards.
• Lead energy management activities aligned with ISO 50001.
• Identify rebates, grants, incentives.
• Provide monthly reporting to leadership.
