Job summary

The Irish Medical Council is seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Team Manager (SEO Grade) for a 12‑month fixed term contract in Dublin. You will lead a multi‑disciplinary team within the Complaints and Investigations Directorate, providing operational management and direction to Case Officers, authorised Officers and support executives.

This role involves advancing cases, supporting solicitors, collaborating with FtP and other directorates, ensuring data quality and reporting, and presenting briefings

Qualifications

• Third level qualification.
• Legal qualification would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience in regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of the Medical Practitioners Act 2007 as amended.
• People management experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational management of the PPC Unit with leadership to the team.
• Manage progression and timely advancement of cases.
• Support solicitors with investigation and management of cases.
• Collaborate with FtP, Monitoring and other directorates.
• Oversee data quality and case-management systems; support reporting and governance.
• Present reports and briefing material to CEO, PPC and Council.
