Job summary

SEK International School Dublin, operating under Education Management Corporation Ltd, is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for IB MYP/DP with 40 hours per week in Ireland. The role is permanent and begins 1 September 2026, or as soon as possible, with strong emphasis on student-centred, high-quality instruction.

The successful candidate will join a committed team in an international IB programme environment, delivering maths across MYP and DP and contributing to department development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification eligible for Teaching Council registration in Ireland.
• Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level).
• Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP).
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the Mathematics Department.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

Minimum Annual Salary: €38,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
