Job description

EF is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our Dublin International Language Campus and contribute to our mission of opening the world through education.

Monday – Friday

Up to 30 hours per week

Your Role
  • Plan and deliver General English and Special Interest (SPIN) courses as directed by the DOS or ADOS
  • Plan and deliver lectures on a rota basis
  • Choose appropriate supplementary material and topics for your classes. These must at all times demonstrate sensitivity to the multi-cultural and multi‑ethnic student population in EF schools
  • Cover absent colleagues as requested by the DOS or ADOS
  • Participate in peer observation programmes
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings (weekly)
  • Input grades for students in iTracker on a fortnightly basis
  • Write student reports when required
  • Administer tests to the class when necessary and to mark them and return all documents to DOS or ADOS
  • Be an ambassador for EF and its products, methods and materials
  • Maintain necessary paperwork as directed by the school administration and carry out administrative duties accordingly
  • Maintain accurate electronic registers and input student attendance daily into the EF database in accordance with EF policy
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations as directed by the Health and Safety Officer
