Job summary

SEK International School Dublin is seeking a dynamic Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team for September 2026. The role focuses on delivering high-quality IB Maths instruction for MYP and DP, inspiring students to reach their potential in a collaborative, student-centred environment.

You will contribute to the Mathematics Department, engage in professional development, and work with colleagues to further develop IB curriculum delivery within an international setting.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics or related discipline.
  • Recognised teaching qualification eligible for Teaching Council registration in Ireland.
  • Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
  • Excellent command of English (minimum C1).

Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics to IB MYP and DP learners.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned with IB curriculum.

SEK International School Dublin, under the name of Education Management Corporation Ltd. is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their highest potential while delivering engaging, high-quality mathematics instruction within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The successful applicant will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an innovative, student-centred learning environment and contribute to the continued development of the Mathematics Department.

Mission

To deliver high-quality Mathematics teaching within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), fostering students' mathematical thinking, critical reasoning, and inquiry-based learning while contributing to their academic achievement and personal development in an international learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Mathematics to students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP).
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the Mathematics Department.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mathematics, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Recognised teaching qualification eligible for Teaching Council registration in Ireland.
  • Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level).
  • Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
  • Experience working in an international school environment.
  • Ability to contribute to wider school life through extracurricular activities.
What We Offer
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Competitive remuneration from €38,000 per annum, with higher salary available depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 4:30 pm) and one Saturday per month.
  • Location: Belvedere Hall, Windgates, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, A63 EY23, Ireland.
