Job summary

Ryanair Ltd. is seeking a skilled professional to manage the repair cycle of aircraft components, overseeing third-party vendors and ensuring timely turnaround.

You will control costs, maintain regulatory compliance, and support both Line and Heavy Maintenance operations to keep parts available when needed. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage budgets, and collaborate with Planning and Engineering to forecast repair needs and optimize inventory.

Qualifications

  • Strong numerical skills and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end repair cycle of aircraft components and manage third-party vendors.
  • Monitor costs, warranties, and contract compliance across repair activities.
  • Ensure documentation traces in line with aviation regulations (EASA/CAA/FAA).
  • Forecast repair needs with planning and engineering to optimize inventory.
  • Lead the Logistics Team and Stores, driving continuous improvement.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Materials, Repairs & Logistics, this person will manage the repair cycle of aircraft components across Ryanair’s fleet. This includes overseeing third-party repair vendors, ensuring timely turnaround of parts, managing costs, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations. You will play a key role in supporting both Line and Heavy Maintenance operations by ensuring repaired components are available when needed. Duties include Managing the following:

  • Manage the end-to-end process for component repairs, including dispatch, tracking, and return to service.
  • Oversee relationships with approved repair vendors and ensure performance against agreed SLAs.
  • Monitor and control repair costs, warranty, and contract compliance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and traceability of repaired components in line with EASA/CAA/FAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with Planning and other Engineering teams to forecast repair needs and optimize inventory.
  • Preparation and control of Materials budget
  • Management of the open RO Book to ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Supporting Heavy Maintenance Materials requirements.
  • Supporting Line Maintenance Materials requirements.
  • Cost control
  • Management of the Logistics Team
  • Management of the Stores
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline/automate repair processes and reduce downtime.
  • AOG and defect control.
Requirements
  • Experience in negotiating at a Senior level.
  • Be highly organised and have ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Excellent numerical ability and contract experience.
  • The ability to work on own initiative.
  • A mature sense of judgement.
  • Proven computer skills and be an effective communicator.
