Job summary

Avantor in Ringaskiddy, Cork is seeking a Material Controller to join our team on a full-time, onsite basis. You will manage material flow, maintain accurate stock levels, and support GMP-compliant laboratory operations to meet customer needs.

This role suits someone with experience in warehouse or inventory roles, a positive attitude, and a willingness to train across our processes. A 37.5-hour week with a single shift, private health care, a pension and an employee assistance program are

Qualifications

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse, inventory, retail or hospitality settings.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Familiar with warehousing terminology and practices.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and manage stock in GMP-compliant processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Support laboratory operations by managing material flow and stock levels.
  • Process ad-hoc material requests and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Operate equipment and follow site and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks related to stock control and compliance.

The Opportunity

Material Controller – Ringaskiddy Full-Time | Onsite Avantor is looking for a Material Controller to join our team in Ringaskiddy, Cork on a full-time basis. You will be based in a laboratory-related environment, supporting scientific processes and ensuring smooth material flow to meet customer business needs. This opportunity is ideal for someone coming from retail, warehouse, or hospitality environments who would like to join a leading company with excellent opportunities for progression. What We’re Looking For


  • Education: Leaving Certificate completion or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience: Consistent work history in areas such as warehouse, inventory, retail, hospitality, or similar

  • Additional Skills: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and familiarity with general warehousing terminology and practices

  • IT Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required


Key Responsibilities
