Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Waterford, Ireland, is seeking a Material Handler to support production by receiving, storing, and delivering materials. You will prepare materials, assist with inventory, and maintain a tidy, safe workshop environment in line with health and safety standards.

Key tasks include unloading and inspecting materials, stocking items, pulling materials for production, and helping with basic preparation using workshop tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions.
• Experience using hand and power tools is desirable.
• Safety-minded and quality-focused.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and store raw materials and supplies in designated storage locations.
• Pull, stage, and deliver materials and components to production workstations in accordance with job requirements.
• Maintain accurate material identification, labelling, and stock rotation practices.
• Assist with inventory counts and report material shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Cut and prepare plastic materials to specified dimensions using basic workshop equipment where required.
• Support production teams by performing basic preparation tasks, including deburring, sanding, and material preparation.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and finished products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment while adhering to all company health and safety procedures.
