Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Junior Plastic Fabricator in Ireland, Co. Waterford, to assist in the manufacture, assembly, and finishing of high-quality plastic products.

You will learn plastic fabrication techniques, operate workshop machinery, and contribute to production while developing skills in a specialist manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality, with opportunities to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction, or a similar hands-on environment is desirable but not essential.
• An interest in learning plastic fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Good numerical skills and ability to read measurements accurately.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret basic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of plastic products in line with drawings and specifications.
• Operate a range of workshop machinery and hand tools safely, including saws, routers, drills, and sanders.
• Measure, cut, shape, drill, route, and deburr plastic materials to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Perform quality checks on components and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area while adhering to all health and safety procedures.
• Support senior fabricators with fabrication projects while developing skills across a range of plastic fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and actively participate in training and development opportunities.
