Job summary

MCD Productions Limited in Dublin seeks a Marketing & Campaign Executive to support the promotion of live events across music, theatre and exhibitions. You will create and execute targeted marketing plans, collaborating with Promo, Digital, PR and Creative teams to drive ticket sales and audience engagement.

The role requires a data-driven mindset, experience in campaigning and budgeting, and strong communication across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record delivering integrated campaigns with data-driven insights.
  • Marketing qualification or similar discipline advantageous.
  • Experience in agency or events business and campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish media landscape including publishers, networks and OOH.
  • Budget management experience and evaluating campaign outcomes.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail, with high creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute targeted marketing plans.
  • Define campaign objectives and deliver innovative campaigns to optimise ticket sales.
  • Support Marketing, Digital Marketing and PR teams in implementing strategies.
  • Collaborate with agencies and in-house creative teams to produce campaigns.
  • Work with venues, commercial and media partners to maximise exposure.
  • Coordinate with PR, Creative, Social and Digital teams across platforms.
  • Measure campaign performance and RoI to inform future campaigns.

Consistently ranked amongst the top 15 promoters in the world by the internationally renowned trade magazine Pollstar, MCD promotes events with capacities ranging from 200 to 80,000 across the island of Ireland. Promoting the best in home grown talent, and working with a host of internationally renowned artists, MCD also promotes annual music festivals such as Longitude and Vital among others.

MCD Productions is currently inviting applications from passionate individuals who are determined to do great work in delivering exceptional campaigns – resulting in sold out venues and an unforgettable two hours of magic. Working with MCD’s Promoters, Digital, PR and Creative teams, the position of Marketing & Campaign Executive / Media Planner (maternity cover, minimum 6 months with potential to extend) exists as a pivotal support role in ensuring the effective and professional promotion of acts and artists across music, theatre, comedy, family attractions and exhibitions. You will be responsible for creating and delivering innovative and effective marketing campaigns, as well as contributing to creative meetings and the entertainment proposition to optimise ticket sales and continually improve the way we promote shows. Being instrumental in concept creation, you will create and execute targeted marketing plans. This is a key and exciting position which is critical to everything that MCD promotes.

Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for understanding the consumer, for what music, theatre, comedy, family attractions and exhibition mean to different audiences, and what motivates consumer behaviour around live events
  • Marketing/campaign/product/project management experience with either an agency or for a major event(s) company – ideally both
  • An ability to manage multiple projects to completion under concurrent, rigorous deadlines, in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with evidence of commercial accountability
  • Excellent knowledge of the campaign briefing business, together with experience in monitoring and the effective management of campaign budgets
  • Excellent experience working across all media channels plus a proven track record in delivering online media (including Search Engine Marketing, Pay Per Click, email and social)
Core Responsibilities
  • The creation (including concept creation) and execution of targeted marketing plans
  • Defining campaign objectives and creating/delivering innovative and effective campaigns to optimise ticket sales and promote shows
  • Supporting colleagues in Marketing, the Digital Marketing Department and across MCD in implementing integrated strategies with a particular focus on digital marketing
  • Working with our agencies and in-house creative teams to produce compelling campaigns
  • Working with venues, commercial and media partners to optimise exposure/achieve goals
  • Engaging with MCD’s PR, Creative, Social and Digital teams to ensure that campaigns are supported effectively, across different platforms and channels
  • Measuring campaign performance and RoI to improve and power future campaigns
  • Proposing creative recommendations, based on audience preferences/demographics and campaign performance, to improve marketing and campaign outcomes
Skill & Knowledge Requirements
  • A proven track record in the development, delivery and tracking of integrated campaigns, incorporating a data-driven mindset focused on the analysis of campaign results
  • A qualification in Marketing (or a similar discipline) advantageous.
  • Passion for understanding the consumer, for what music, theatre, comedy, family attractions and exhibitions means to different audiences and what motivates consumer behaviour around live events
  • Prior marketing experience within an agency or events business, operating as a Campaign Executive, Account Executive, or Planner
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish media landscape, including key publishers, broadcast networks, out-of-home (OOH), and digital platforms.
  • Budget Management: Experience managing or tracking marketing budgets and evaluating financial/campaign outcomes and impact, to inform future activations.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the campaign briefing process
  • Strong time management, task prioritisation abilities and excellent attention to detail is an imperative
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness and a high level of creativity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Natural interpersonal and communicative abilities
  • Strong organisation and project management skills/experience
