The Stepstone Group Ireland Recruit Limited is seeking a Junior Market Performance Specialist to help analyse how candidates move through our Irish and Belgian marketplaces. You will work at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Commercial and Analytics to derive insights that support growth and marketplace health.

You will monitor performance, analyse behaviour, and translate data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Ecommerce, consumer tech, online platforms or marketplaces is desirable.
• Strong ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Understanding of how candidate engagement and user behaviour drive outcomes.
• Ability to connect data insights to business growth and marketplace health.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor marketplace performance and track KPIs across engagement, application activity, traffic and conversions.
• Analyse candidate behaviour to identify patterns and improvement opportunities.
• Generate insights and recommendations to support growth and marketplace optimisation.
• Create regular performance reports and dashboards for visibility into trends.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics teams to understand dynamics.
• Support candidate growth initiatives through data-driven recommendations.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to spot opportunities and threats.
• Communicate drivers of performance and the impact of initiatives to stakeholders.

As a (Junior) Market Performance Specialist, you'll help us understand and improve the experience of job seekers across Ireland and Belgium.

Working at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics, you'll analyse candidate behaviour, marketplace performance and consumer trends to uncover insights that support growth and improve marketplace health. As an individual contributor, you will report to the Head of Market Performance.

What you'll do

• Monitor Marketplace Performance: Track key marketplace KPIs across candidate engagement, application activity, traffic, conversion and customer outcomes.
• Analyse Candidate Behaviour: Use marketplace and consumer data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities to improve candidate engagement.
• Generate Insights & Recommendations: Translate data into clear recommendations that support marketplace optimisation and sustainable growth.
• Create Performance Reporting: Build regular reports and dashboards that provide visibility into marketplace performance and key trends.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics teams to better understand marketplace dynamics.
• Support Candidate Growth Initiatives: Contribute insights that help improve candidate acquisition, engagement and retention across our platforms.
• Conduct Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor external trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to identify new opportunities.
• Communicate Performance Drivers: Help stakeholders understand what's driving marketplace performance and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring

• B2C or Marketplace Experience: Experience working in Ecommerce, Consumer Technology, Digital Subscriptions, Online Platforms, Marketplaces or similar B2C environments.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex datasets and uncover meaningful business insights.
• Consumer Behaviour Understanding: Experience analysing customer, candidate or user engagement data.
• Performance Measurement Experience: Familiarity with metrics such as traffic, conversion, acquisition, retention, engagement or marketplace health.
• Commercial Mindset: Ability to connect data insights with commercial outcomes and growth opportunities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Structured Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving business challenges.

Nice to have

• Marketplace Expertise: Experience working in marketplaces, job platforms, classifieds or other two-sided digital businesses.
• Growth & Optimisation Exposure: Familiarity with experimentation, conversion optimisation or growth initiatives.
• Customer Lifecycle Knowledge: Understanding of acquisition, engagement, retention and customer value metrics.
• Advanced Analytics Tools: Experience using BI tools, AI-powered analytics solutions or data visualisation platforms.
• Marketplace Economics Understanding: Exposure to supply-demand dynamics, liquidity metrics or user engagement analysis.
