Job description

Location: UK / Ireland (with international travel)

Overview

We are looking to speak with experienced marine personnel to support uncrewed surface vessel (USV) operations on a range of offshore survey and data acquisition projects. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role supporting the mobilisation, deployment and ongoing operations of USVs.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobilisation and preparation of USVs for offshore projects and sea trials
• Assisting with load‑outs, transport and equipment setup
• Supporting launch and recovery operations
• Acting as on‑site / nearshore representative during USV operations
• Liaising with vessel crews and local support teams
• Assisting survey and technical teams with equipment installation and maintenance
• Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with HSE procedures
• Providing real‑time feedback on local conditions to support operational decision‑making

Requirements

• Previous marine experience (small craft or commercial marine environment)
• Full driving licence (experience towing trailers highly beneficial)
• Strong practical and hands‑on approach
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a small team
• Willingness to travel and work flexible / rotational shifts

Nice to Have

• Yachtmaster, Master 200 or equivalent marine certification
• Experience with marine maintenance or mechanical tasks
• Sea survival or offshore safety training
• HGV licence
