Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a qualified engineer to support production processes at our Galway site in Ireland. The role focuses on improving manufacturing methods, troubleshooting, and maintaining SOPs for equipment and processes.

The candidate should have a Level 6 Engineering or Chemistry degree with relevant experience, and be capable of driving continuous improvement with strong communication and planning skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Evidence of innovative fixture design and manufacture.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Motivated to work on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of medical device development/manufacture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of Production Support team to drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardise and improve production methods.
  • Provide technical support of a chemical cleaning and effluent treatment process, with responsibility for equipment availability and safety.
  • Assist in IQ/OQ/PQ of equipment; create and maintain up-to-date area SOPs.
  • Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment changes.
  • Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures for assigned processes or areas.
  • Assist in investigating and implementing new production methods and root cause analysis.
  • Interface with internal teams and outside vendors as needed while performing the above.
  • Assist in implementing technical improvements under the team's Continuous Improvement program.
